What jobs are hot in the green economy? What kind of training or schooling is needed to get one of those jobs? Below are some resources to find out answers to just those questions!
Start by looking at the Governor's Energy Office (GEO) website. There you'll find:
Careers for Colorado's New Energy Economy - a comprehensive resource guide to what training or schooling is needed for many jobs ranging from civil or environmental engineers to recycling technicians to waste management specialists, to project managers. This resource focuses on the fields of energy efficiency, wind power, solar power and recycling and waste management. GEOs training resources are updated monthly. Download the PDF.

- American Renewable Energy Association (AREA) Provides members with Energy Efficiency, Solar and Wind Technology knowledge as well as Environmental and Safety specification.
- Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) This certification initiative through CO's workforce system creates common, objective standards for employment readiness
- Crestone Solar School Offers PV and natural building design tools to women and men so they can be trained for green jobs

- Ecotech Institute The college for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Design

- Mi Casa Resource Center Green Energy and Construction classes available
- Trade Apprenticeships Take the first step to becoming a Journeyperson in the Trade Industry.
- Solar Energy International SEI Womens workshops are taught by women for women
- Veterans Green Jobs Green job training opportunities specifically designed for veterans
- Woodbine Ecology Center Woodbines programs offer the skills and resources necessary for egalitarian, self-reliant, and sustainable living.
